So over this last sunday I ran into a problem any production/tech guy never wants to run into. My computer would not turn on. Now to give a little perspective why this was so troublesome my worship band runs all of our click and backing tracks through Ableton Live, all of which are stored on my laptop. This sunday we were introducing a new song "Forever" by Kari Jobe the week before Easter, and I recently purchased a track from Loop Community for this song. We planned all of our parts around this track and without it the song would sound empty and plain. So I knew I needed to get this track up and running somehow. After several troubleshooting attempts I knew there was no quick fix in sight. I began a reinstall of software which wouldn't finish until right before the service would start, so I looked for Plan B. Now up until this sunday I haven't had a chance to really dive into Loop Community's Prime app, but I opened it up to see if it could help and I can now say it saved our Sunday worship! Loop Community's Prime app is very impressive. It was so easy to add in click tracks and more importantly I could download my purchased and my own created tracks attached to my Loop Community account. Thankfully this included the track for "Forever". Now I wish I had brought my camera connection kit to connect the app to my Looptimus, but I was just happy to see I could build a set list of clicks and so easily access my purchased track. The Prime app was a life saver and I will be uploading a lot more tracks knowing they will be on my account if my computer goes down in the future. Thanks Loop Community!!!
